Accurate time tracking is the foundation of billing and WIP management. PracticeWings supports both manual time entry and a live timer.

Using the Timer

The timer widget lives in the bottom-right corner of your screen and is available on every page. Click the play button to start tracking time against a client and task.

  1. Click the timer widget (clock icon, bottom-right).
  2. Search for and select a client.
  3. Select the task or job this time applies to.
  4. Write a brief description of the work.
  5. Click Start.
  6. Click Stop when done. The entry is automatically saved.

The timer continues running even if you navigate to other pages. You'll see the elapsed time in the widget so you never lose track.

Manual Time Entry

  1. Go to Time in the sidebar.
  2. Click New Time Entry.
  3. Select the date, client, task, and duration.
  4. Mark as billable or non-billable.
  5. Click Save.
