Understanding Roles
PracticeWings has three built-in roles plus fully customizable custom roles:
- Admin — Full access to all settings, billing, and data.
- Manager — Can manage clients, tasks, and view team reports. Cannot change org settings or billing.
- Staff — Can work on assigned tasks, log time, and view their own clients.
For most firms, partners should be set as Admin or Manager, while associates and administrative staff should be Staff.
Sending Invitations
- Go to Settings > Users.
- Click the Invite User button in the top-right.
- Enter the team member's email and select their role.
- Click Send Invitation.
The invited user receives an email with a secure link to create their account and join your organization. Links expire after 7 days — you can resend from the Pending Invitations tab.
